The congress took place for the first time in 2008 in Zlatá Idka near Košice as a periodontological-implantological meeting of dentists. At that time, an event with this specific scope was missing in Slovakia. The initiative for the annual organization of the meeting came from MUDr. Jozef Ivančo, CSc., from the private dental clinic DDDental Košice, s.r.o.

The father of this idea has been MUDr. Ivan Třešňák from Campo Tures in Italy, who, with similar annual meetings although to a smaller extent, has made an effort to expand the community of the implantologists and to attract the beginners. From the beginning, the congress has been supported by the chief dental expert in Slovakia prof. MUDr. Neda Markovská, CSc.

Since the first meeting, the event has been organized as a meeting of Slovak and Czech dentists. The authors of the lectures have been leading experts from the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Subsequently, lecturers from other countries (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria) have started to attend, and the congress has become international by definition. At the same time, the congress has expanded thematically with lectures on dental prosthetics, jaw orthopedics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry and dental hygiene.

Due to capacity reasons, in 2014 the organizers had to move the congress with a familiar atmosphere from Zlatá Idka to Košice, to the contemporary congress hall of the Hotel Roca, or to Hotel Yasmin.

Participants of the previous annual meetings evaluate the previous congresses as very good, either from the professional but also from social point of view. Every year, high-quality and leading lecturers and unforgettable evening sessions have contributed to this.

The organizers of the previous congresses are pleased from the participants' reviews, and they gear up for the next annual meeting. We believe that it will be successful again, and the participants will feel comfortable in Košice.
